Ken Kranseler is a Principal Consultant and Trainer with Productside and Instructor for the Product Management certificate program at the University of Washington. He was a Principal Product Manager at Amazon, where he drove product strategy for the Kindle ecosystem – hardware, software and services – to enhance student learning in higher education markets.

Prior to Amazon, Ken drove product strategy at a number of Seattle area startups, including INRIX, which went from a 15-person startup to a 300+ person pre-IPO growth company that leverages big data analytics to reduce the individual, economic and environmental toll of traffic.

Before his work with startups, Ken spent 10+ years at Microsoft launching new consumer and business software initiatives including developing Microsoft’s initial entrance into the CRM business. Ken has many entertaining stories from his time working as a brand manager introducing new products and concepts for Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Ken is a Certified Product Manager (CPM), and member of the Association of International Product Marketing and Management (AIPMM). He holds a BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School and began his business career as a consultant at Bain & Company.

Roger Snyder is a Principal Consultant and Trainer at Productside. He has over 25 years of experience in high technology, first working in development, project management, and business development before finding his true passion – product management.

Before joining Productside, Roger led product management teams for over 15 years, serving as Sr. Director or Vice President of product management at multiple firms. He was a pivotal contributor to the success and growth of Openwave, increasing revenues in the core infrastructure business to over $100M in 3 years.

At Danger, Roger led the PM team to expand the successful Sidekick product line from a single product to multiple products across multiple manufacturers, leading to the acquisition of Danger by Microsoft. At both Savi and Immersion, Roger rebuilt the product management team, hiring top talent to drive better communication and collaboration processes that created product roadmaps that were innovative and predictive.

Roger has been involved in many facets of the mobile industry, from infrastructure products that pioneered accessing the Internet from a mobile phone to complete smartphones, to mobile cloud services, to mobile applications across iOS and Android. As a consultant and trainer, Roger has worked with companies in various industries, including consumer products, technology, SaaS, mobile, health insurance, and professional services.

He has used his experience to help companies improve their product strategy development, product lifecycle process, full product considerations, competitive and market research processes, and roadmap development and evolution.

Roger is a member of the Association of International Product Marketing and Management (AIPMM), a Certified Product Manager (CPM), and an Agile Certified Product Manager & Product Owner (ACPMPO). He has a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Santa Clara University with concentrations in Leadership and Marketing.

Rina is the CEO of Productside. She began her career at McKinsey & Company as an analyst on the credit portfolio team, offering trading recommendations to hedge against credit and interest rate exposure. She then joined MetLife’s Global Leadership Development Program, focusing on employee recognition programs and removing roadblocks to support intrapreneurship in the Latin America Office of Innovation. Rina joined the Productside with a focus on bringing transformative change to organizations by arming product people with the right tools and skills to do great product management. Her job running the company at the Productside is made easy with an amazing team aligned on continuous learning and development and determined to go above and beyond to always delight their clients.

Rina is a member of the Association of International Product Marketing and Management. She received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Economics and European Studies from Amherst College, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Tom Evans is a Senior Principal Consultant and Trainer at Productside and is an internationally recognized authority in product management, product marketing, international business, go-to-market strategies, business partnerships and entrepreneurship. In his extensive experience, he has helped start-ups through Fortune 500 companies create and launch winning products and has led business development efforts in the US and global markets.

Tom has been responsible for successfully developing and implementing Product Management & Product Marketing methodologies at multiple companies. Tom’s experience covers numerous vertical industries, technologies, and international markets. His industry experience includes complex software solutions for manufacturing, document management, call centers, financial services, and project management.

Tom lived and worked in Brazil and has conducted business internationally, including Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. Tom was a contributing author to the “42 Rules of Product Management” and to the “42 Rules of Product Marketing”.

Tom has achieved the following certifications from the Association of International Product Marketing and Management (AIPMM): Certified Product Manager (CPM), Certified Product Marketing Manager (CPMM) and Agile Certified Product Manager & Product Owner (ACPMPO).

Tom has a BSEE from The United States Air Force Academy, an MSEE from The University of Dayton, and graduated with honors with an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

Joe Ghali is a Principal Consultant and Trainer at 280 Group. He has over 15 years of experience in Product Management working for Fortune 100 & 500 organizations. Joe’s experience includes working in a variety of industries including travel, publishing, financial services, manufacturing, and consumer packaged goods (primarily in digital). He has been part of several significant product launches throughout his career and is passionate about the Product Management space. Outside of work, he is an active participant in several Product Management roundtables and has been a PM and PO mentor.

His experience as both a Product Manager and Product Owner has given a strong conviction that the most successful products are the result of strong Product and Agile teams who are transparent, collaborative, and vulnerable. And the key to those high performing teams is strong Product Management leadership at the helm.Joe has a Bachelor’s in Information Technology from Marquette University as well as an MBA from Marquette University (focus on Marketing). Additionally, he holds several Product Manager/Owner certifications.

Joe and his family are active outside the house. He and his wife have participated in several marathons. Joe is also a volunteer softball coach for his youngest daughter. At the moment, they are spending their free time attending their daughter’s (14 and 11) cross country, softball, and basketball games.

Ryan Cantwell is a Principal Consultant and Trainer at the Productside with more than 15 years of professional experience in product management, applications engineering, and customer success.

Before joining the Productside, Ryan served in senior product roles at Industrial Scientific Corp and Automated Packaging System. Through these roles he has extensive experience leading development teams and software as a service (SaaS) solutions in a B2B environment.

In addition, he has a track record of success designing products that solve customer problems and introducing continuous improvement practices within the product teams he serves.

Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ryan holds a BA in Marketing and MBA from Kent State University.

Dean Peters offers nearly twenty years of experience in product management with a prior decade as a software developer for real-time system integration.

Driven by a passion for replacing pain points with user delight, he has empowered teams in startups such as Dude Solutions, Aprimo, and Seven Lakes Technologies and enterprise settings such as IQVIA, Citrix, and McClatchy. Leaning on his ability to translate technical details into valuable outcomes, Dean has led a number of innovations in the areas of AI, NLP, and Mobile across various domains, including healthcare, energy, education, law enforcement, and news media.

Along with this work, Dean has presented on agile and product management topics at events such as ProductCamp, ProductTank, Pendomonium, and Red Hat Agile Day. An on-and-off blogger, Dean’s writings on product and agile have found their way into the product lexicon; the most recent example is his collaboration with ProductBoard’s “Dangerous Animals of Product Management.”

Dean holds a masters in computer science from Hood College and a bachelor of arts from East Carolina University.

Ken has worked and consulted for large companies and start-ups. He has experience with cradle-to-grave lifecycle management at hardware companies, felt the pressure of product launches at start-ups, performed forecasting and Product Management for Dolby as it went public, and performed as the Product Owner in fast-moving Agile teams. He has worked with hardware, software, services, apps, cloud, and enterprise companies.

He has 20+ years of Product Management and Product Marketing experience at top companies like Apple, Intuit, Dolby, Elo Touch, and many start-ups and small tech companies. Ken has a BS in International Business Management from Notre Dame de Namur University. Ken has a passion for exciting and delighting customers with outstanding products.
